Mahesh Pratapneni, Executive Chairman
Mahesh Pratapneni specializes in incubating product companies in the education, healthcare, and data/analytics sectors. He is focused on helping launch, re-engineer and support small and mid-sized technology driven businesses. He is known for building outstanding global teams and creating value by leveraging his experience in product visualization, development and management; and his expertise in building global delivery models. Mahesh serves as Managing Director of Singapore-based EmergeOut Ventures and as Board Member of Impelsys. His previous experiences include serving asEVP of CalSoft Group; SVP of OneWest Bank and IndyMac Bank; and CTO of Ocwen, Financial Services. Mahesh earned his undergraduate degree in electronics and communications from IIT Madras, and his MBA from IIM Calcutta.
Ms. Mathoda is co-Chief Executive Officer and a member of the Board of Directors of Genesis Capital, LLC, one of the nation’s top specialty commercial lenders focused on the real estate development industry, as well as Chairwoman of Global Property Exchange and its wholly owned subsidiary Hudson & Marshall. Prior to her joining the Genesis family of companies, Rayman was President of Oversite Data Services, Chief Revenue Officer of ALAW, Managing Director of HausAngeles and Chief Administrative Officer responsible for 10,000 people and $1 billion in expense at IndyMac Bank (now OneWest/CIT), the 2nd largest independent mortgage lender in the US. Rayman has a long history and track record of leading and supporting initiatives focused on improving the health, finances, and security of people and communities in the US and Asia. Ms. Mathoda has been a top national housing policy advisor helping craft mortgage, real estate, and affordable housing policies to help families, consumers and communities affected by the 2008 financial crisis. She is also a current or former Board member for key public and non-profit organizations including Planned Parenthood LA, Housing Authority of City of LA, and the LA LGBT Center. Rayman grew up in a family with 30+ doctors and started her career at McKinsey and Company, a global management consulting firm, where she was co-leader of the firm’s west coast healthcare practice. Rayman has an A.B. Honors from Princeton University and an MBA with Distinction from the Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University.
Prof. Stephan Schuster, Scientific Chairman
After receiving an initial degree in organic chemistry, Stephan C. Schuster moved into Biochemistry and Microbiology during his graduate studies, at the Max-Planck-Institute for Biochemistry in Martinsried, Germany. In his postdoctoral studies at the California Institute of Technology, Pasadena, USA, he continued his work on Bacterial Motility and Signal Transduction. Professor of SBS (School of Biological Sciences) in NTU and Research Director of SCELSE (Singapore Centre for Environmental Life Sciences Engineering).
